The proceeds fromt the first festival went to the Pelion Resque Squad, Pelion Fire Department, Pelion High School, Booster Club and various other community and school activities. Today the Peanut Party Steering Committee continues to provide monetary support to the community's needs such as PHS scholarships, PHS FFA, the local community center and grounds enhancements, the PHS band program, the Pelion Branch public library, the annual Christmas Tree for Children fund and catastrophic events that befall community members.
